Corneal Endothelial Cell Density and Morphology After Phacoemulsification in Patients With Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma and Cataracts: 2-Year Results of a Randomized Multicenter Trial.
Phacoemulsification in eyes with mild-to-moderate primary open-angle glaucoma results in early ECL, with ECD stabilizing after 3 months and no effect on other endothelial stress markers up to 2 years postoperatively.
Two-Year COMPASS Trial Results: Supraciliary Microstenting with Phacoemulsification in Patients with Open-Angle Glaucoma and Cataracts.
This RCT demonstrated safe and sustained 2-year reduction in IOP and glaucoma medication use after microinterventional surgical treatment for mild-to-moderate POAG.
Initial Clinical Experience With the CyPass Micro-Stent: Safety and Surgical Outcomes of a Novel Supraciliary Microstent.
CyPass Micro-Stent implantation, combined with cataract surgery, resulted in minimal complications and reduced IOP and IOP-lowering medication use at 12 months postoperatively.
Reply: To PMID 25747677.
Supraciliary Micro-stent Implantation for Open-Angle Glaucoma Failing Topical Therapy: 1-Year Results of a Multicenter Study.
Supraciliary stenting with the CyPass Micro-Stent effectively lowers IOP as a surgical treatment for glaucoma, precluding the need for more invasive glaucoma surgery in >80% of patients at 1 year, thereby reducing postoperative glaucoma surgical complications.
