Pharmacologic Characterization of Omidenepag Isopropyl, a Novel Selective EP2 Receptor Agonist, as an Ocular Hypotensive Agent.
These studies demonstrated that OMDI is hydrolyzed in the eye to OMD, an EP2 receptor agonist, with a significant ocular hypotensive effect in both ocular normotensive and hypertensive animal models.
Potential Neuroprotective Effects of an LSD1 Inhibitor in Retinal Ganglion Cells via p38 MAPK Activity.
These findings indicate that tranylcypromine-induced transcriptional and epigenetic regulation modulated RGC survival via the promotion of p38 MAPKγ activity.
Reduced Plasma BDNF Levels in Normal Tension Glaucoma Compared to Open Angle Glaucoma.
This result suggests that a low level of systemic BDNF may contribute to the pathogenesis of glaucoma in an IOP-independent manner.
