Measuring Deformation in the Mouse Optic Nerve Head and Peripapillary Sclera.

The explant inflation test measures the strain response of the mouse ONH to applied IOP. Initial studies indicate regional differences in response to both acute and chronic IOP elevation within the ONH region.

Regional Retinal Ganglion Cell Axon Loss in a Murine Glaucoma Model.

There was selectively greater loss of superior and temporal optic nerve axons of RGCs in mouse glaucoma at certain stages of damage. Differences in nerve area change suggest non-RGC responses differ between mouse strains.
