Outcomes and Complications of Ahmed Tube Implantation in Asian Eyes.
At 3 years after AGV surgery in Asian eyes, less than one-quarter of the eyes fulfilled the criteria for surgical failure.
Focal Structure-Function Relationships in Primary Open-Angle Glaucoma Using OCT and OCT-A Measurements.
Focal capillary densities were significantly associated with a wider range of visual field losses and in a larger proportion of the visual field compared to nerve fiber thickness.
Efficacy and Safety of Repeated Micropulse Transscleral Diode Cyclophotocoagulation in Advanced Glaucoma.
Repeated MPTCP is at best moderately effective in lowering IOP for eyes with advanced glaucoma.
Predicting the outcome of laser peripheral iridotomy for primary angle closure suspect eyes using anterior segment optical coherence tomography.
Using pretreatment ASOCT scans, our algorithm was superior to ophthalmologists in predicting the success of LPI for PACS eyes. This novel algorithm could aid decision making in offering LPI as a prophylaxis for PACS.
Association Between Structure-function Characteristics and Visual Field Outcomes in Glaucoma Subjects With Intraocular Pressure Reduction After Trabeculectomy.
Characteristics derived from the baseline structure-function relationship were found to be strongly associated with postoperative VF outcomes. These findings suggest that the structure-function relationship could potentially have a role in predicting VF progression after trabeculectomy.
Central Corneal Thickness and its Associations With Ocular and Systemic Factors in an Urban West African Population.
This population-based cross-sectional survey of West African adults found a significant association between increased CCT and younger age, male sex, and higher IOP but not glaucoma or CDR.
Micropulse versus continuous wave transscleral diode cyclophotocoagulation in refractory glaucoma: a randomized exploratory study.
Diode transscleral cyclophotocoagulation in both micropulse and continuous modes was effective in lowering intraocular pressure. The micropulse mode provided a more consistent and predictable effect in lowering intraocular pressure with minimal ocular complications.
