PURPOSE
To introduce a discussion of glaucoma screening.
METHODS/RESULTS
Glaucoma screening faces challenges, including not satisfying important ethical principles for medical screening.
CONCLUSIONS
Approaches that would better provide care for glaucoma patients include eliminating the loss of follow-up and identifying glaucoma among family members of known glaucoma patients.
