Abstract
Contact lenses were originally designed for cosmetic and vision correction purposes. Recently, they have become mobile wearable devices that integrate drug delivery, diagnosis, and treatment. The portability of contact lenses, the advancement of modern technology, and the public's growing demand for personalized diagnosis and treatment have accelerated the research progress of smart contact lenses. This article summarizes the development trends of smart contact lenses in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, along with future prospects, opportunities, and challenges.
