Surv OphthalmolFeb 199729 citationsReview

Latanoprost's effect on blood-retinal barrier integrity was studied in monkeys and pseudophakic humans. It didn't cause detectable leakage, suggesting safety for the barrier, but caution is advised for high-risk CME patients.

Reduced intraocular pressure and increased ocular perfusion pressure in normal tension glaucoma: a review of short-term studies with three dose regimens of latanoprost treatment.

Surv OphthalmolFeb 199728 citationsReview

Latanoprost was studied in normal tension glaucoma. Once-daily 0.005% latanoprost significantly reduced IOP and improved ocular perfusion pressure, suggesting it's a promising, convenient treatment for NTG.
