Customizing Perimetric Locations Based on En Face Images of Retinal Nerve Fiber Bundles With Glaucomatous Damage.
We developed methods for rapid perimetric testing guided by en face images of the RNFL bundles in patients with glaucoma. Results indicated ganglion cell damage under all of the visible RNFL defects.
Long- and Short-Term Variability of Perimetry in Glaucoma.
Long-term and short-term variability both increase with damage for perimetric stimuli smaller than Ricco's area. Above 28 dB, long-term variability constitutes a negligible proportion of test-retest variability.
Prediction Accuracy of the Dynamic Structure-Function Model for Glaucoma Progression Using Contrast Sensitivity Perimetry and Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscopy.
The DSF model had consistently lower prediction errors than simple linear regression. The lower test-retest variability of CSP in glaucomatous defects did not, however, result in lower prediction error.
Registration-Based Analysis of the Three-Dimensional Shape of the Retinal Nerve Fiber Layer for Detection of Glaucomatous Defects.
Registration-based analysis for NFL shape showed the ability to detect glaucomatous perimetric defects, and results identified areas for improvement in NFL registration methods.
Between-Subject Variability in Healthy Eyes as a Primary Source of Structural-Functional Discordance in Patients With Glaucoma.
These results confirm previous findings that between-subject variability in healthy eyes is the primary source of structural-functional discordance in patients with glaucoma, and extends this finding to a structural-structural comparison.
The Effect of Limiting the Range of Perimetric Sensitivities on Pointwise Assessment of Visual Field Progression in Glaucoma.
The proportion of eyes flagged as progressing was not decreased by censoring unreliable sensitivities.
Imaging Glaucomatous Damage Across the Temporal Raphe.
Structural changes in the temporal raphe were observed and quantified even when local functional loss was mild. These techniques open the possibility of using the raphe as a site for glaucoma research and clinical assessment.
The Effect of Stimulus Size on the Reliable Stimulus Range of Perimetry.
The lower limit of the reliable stimulus range did not differ significantly between stimulus sizes. However, more locations remained within the reliable stimulus range when using the size V stimulus.
