Factors Associated With Graft Rejection in the Cornea Preservation Time Study.
Graft rejection is uncommon after DSAEK and more likely with younger age, in a study cohort mostly > 50 years old. Rejection increases ECL, but it is not a leading cause of DSAEK failure.
Prelamellar Dissection Donor Corneal Thickness Is Associated With Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty Operative Complications in the Cornea Preservation Time Study.
Thicker donor tissue (prelamellar dissection) is associated with operative complications and should be considered in tissue selection for Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty lenticule preparation.
Long-term Outcomes of Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty Versus Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty Under a Failed Penetrating Keratoplasty Graft.
The only significant difference between DSAEK and DMEK cohorts was rebubble rate.
The First 100 Eyes of Standardized Descemet Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty versus Standardized Descemet Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty.
Compared with DSAEK, DMEK provided better visual recovery and comparable 6-month ECL. The DMEK group had a higher, although not statistically significant, percentage of rebubbling procedures and IPGFs.
