Increased erythrocyte osmotic fragility is a novel glaucoma risk factor. Integrating EOF with other blood biomarkers achieved high predictive accuracy (88.68%), enhancing diagnosis, especially for normal tension glaucoma, by identifying red blood cell susceptibility.
