Corneal Stiffness and Modulus of Normal-Tension Glaucoma in Chinese.

The corneas of NTG patients were softer than those of HTG patients and controls, as assessed by CID, which were associated with thinner CCT. These might suggest different ocular biomechanical properties in NTG and HTG.

Evaluation of the Diagnostic Performance of Swept-Source Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography in Primary Angle Closure Disease.

SS-OCT of the anterior segment showed excellent diagnostic performance distinguishing PACD from normal eyes and moderate diagnostic ability distinguishing eyes with PAC/PACG from eyes with PACS.

Comparison of Biomechanically Corrected Intraocular Pressure Obtained by Corvis ST and Goldmann Applanation Tonometry in Patients With Open-angle Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension.

BIOP values were higher and less affected by CCT than GAT-IOP values in eyes with OAG and OHT. However, these measurements may not be interchangeable in the clinic.

Two-Year Outcomes of Phacogoniotomy vs Phacotrabeculectomy for Advanced Primary Angle-Closure Glaucoma With Cataract: A Noninferiority Randomized Clinical Trial.

Mean IOP reduction with phacogoniotomy was noninferior to phacotrabeculectomy for advanced PACG and cataract at 2-year follow-up with no differences detected in complete or qualified success or mean number of antiglaucomatous medications.

Wide Corneal Epithelial Thickness Mapping in Eyes With Topical Antiglaucoma Therapy Using Optical Coherence Tomography.

Use of topical IOP-lowering medications leads to epithelial thinning in the 9-mm diameter zone in glaucomatous eyes.

A Novel Indentation Assessment to Measure Corneal Biomechanical Properties in Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension.

Parameters derived from the CID and Corvis ST demonstrated agreement in the measurement of corneal biomechanical properties. The stiffness and modulus can characterize in vivo corneal biomechanical properties.

Deep Learning Classification of Angle Closure based on Anterior Segment OCT.

Convolutional neural network classifiers can effectively distinguish PACD from controls on AS-OCT with good generalizability across different patient cohorts. However, their performance is moderate when trying to distinguish PACS versus PAC + PACG.

Inhibition of TGF-β2-Induced Trabecular Meshwork Fibrosis by Pirfenidone.

PFD inhibited TGF-β2-induced TM cell fibrosis by rearranging the disordered cytoskeleton and decreasing ECM deposition, thereby enhancing the aqueous outflow from the TM outflow pathway and lowering IOP, which provides a potential new approach to…

Responsiveness to Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty in Open-Angle Glaucoma and Ocular Hypertension.

These post hoc analyses showed that most cases of OAG and OHT were highly responsive to SLT and support the consideration of repeat SLT regardless of initial response, while individuals who are nonresponsive to this…

Newly Onset Optic Disc Pit Maculopathy (ODP-M) in a Patient With Primary Angle-closure Glaucoma (PACG) After Surgical Iridectomy: A Case Report.

Fine optic disc and the macular area structures were investigated using several imaging techniques. Findings revealed that the course of ODP and ODP-M provide us with some insights and understanding of their underlying pathogenesis.

Outcome of Goniotomy Over 120, 240 and 360 Degrees in Juvenile Open Angle Glaucoma: A Multicenter Study.

240-degree and 360-degree GT showed similar efficacy in IOP reduction and were superior to 120-degree GT. More extensive GT may provide better outcomes in JOAG.

Small Extracellular Vesicle Treatment of Trabecular Meshwork Fibrosis: 2D/3D In Vitro and In Vivo Analyses.

hBMMSC sEVs significantly attenuate TGFβ2-induced TM fibrosis via both protein expression and morphological changes. In addition, hBMMSC sEVs have therapeutic potential in alleviating the TGFβ2-induced increase in IOP linked to TM fibrosis.
