7T MRI showed myopes have smaller retrobulbar optic nerves and subarachnoid spaces than emmetropes. This tool can assess optic nerve morphology behind the eye, relevant for glaucoma and myopia-related conditions.

This study found that acute IOP elevation in rats causes functional changes progressing from inner to outer retina, with ganglion cell-related responses (nSTR, photopic OPs) most sensitive to moderate IOP (30-50 mmHg). This highlights the need to maintain IOP below 50 mmHg in experimental glaucoma models to avoid non-specific damage.
